Tom New is the founder of New Techniques and the creator of the New Techniques Race Car Pre-Heater. He is an renowned expert in engine tuning and one of the UK's leading Hill Climb drivers, with a list of achievements including:

Since competing in his first speed event in 1994, Paul Haimes has won a number of British Hillclimbing championships with the help of New Techniques.

Paul took his first title in 2001, winning the prestigious Hillclimb Leaders' Championship. He went on to win the 2002 Y-Gelli Book Auctions Challenge, and the FTD and Run-off events at Doune in 2004, finishing 10th in the British Hillclimb Championship in both 2002 and 2004.


Paul lives in Farnham, Surrey with his wife and two children, Will and Josh.
